We Are Looking For Outdoor Sports Photographers

We have several positions open (must be local to Charles Town / Harpers Ferry / Brunswick):

Level 1 Photographer – Requirements: Transportation to & from Harpers Ferry, a DSLR camera with 200mm lens, a computer with SD card reader, high-speed internet

In this position you will be asked to go to Harpers Ferry or Sandy Hook, MD and walk or bike a short distance along the C & O Canal. You will arrive at the designated spot and stay there for 6 hours. You will be taking photos of people boating on the river. You will be on dry land and in the shade. You will need to bring food and water. Hours: 12-6 (6 hours) + 2-3 hours work from home uploading photos to our website

 

Level 2 Photographer – Requirements: Transportation to & from Harpers Ferry, a DSLR camera with 200mm lens, a PFD, good water shoes, a computer with SD card reader, high-speed internet

In this position you will be asked to go to the 340 bridge at Harpers Ferry and walk a short distance downstream in a wooded area. You will walk through shallow water a very short distance to arrive at the designated spot in the river and stay there for 6 hours. (You can take breaks on the shore.) You will be taking photos of people boating on the river. You will need to bring food and water. Hours: 11:30-5:30 (6 hours) + 2-3 hours work from home uploading photos to our website

 

Level 3 Photographer – Kayaker preferred. Requirements: Transportation to & from Harpers Ferry, kayak, paddle, PFD, helmet, a DSLR camera with 200mm lens, camera dry box, good water shoes, a computer with SD card reader, high-speed internet

In this position you will be asked to paddle the Shenandoah in Harpers Ferry in a kayak and sit at Bull Falls. Alternatively, you could go to Murphy Farm in Harpers Ferry and walk to the overlook, hike down a steep hill, and walk down to the designated spot. During lower water levels you will need to swim (or tube) out to the middle of the river. During higher water levels you will work from the shore. You will stay there for 6 hours and take photos of people boating on the river. You will need to bring food and water. Hours: 11-5 (6 hours) + 2-3 hours work from home uploading photos to our website
